Oh, Christmas Tree!

Today we took the girls to JB Tree Farm to pick out the family Christmas tree. Here's a glimpse of the fun.........

1st Christmas Parade

Tonight we took the girls to the Altoona Christmas Parade. They seemed fascinated by the whole thing. They loved the bright glowing necklaces and large animal balloons. Abby would start to bounce every time the bands played, while Leah would blink her eyes in sync with the pounding drums. They both loved waving at all the boys and girls on each passing float.

Yum! Yum!

Thanksgiving Part II

On Friday, my brother and his family came to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family. Now that the girls are getting a little older, they really enjoyed playing with their cousins.

Thanksgiving at Church

This past Sunday was our church's annual Thanksgiving luncheon. While the girls still ate their typical meal of peas, peaches, and mac & cheese, they also enjoyed trying some new yummy Thanksgiving foods. Their favorites were definitely the mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie, while they weren't too sure of the stuffing (which was quite evident by Leah crinkling up her little nose every time she took a bite!).

Abby loved the mashed potatoes! This picture was taken post-clean up; however, as you can see, I missed some of the potatoes that were stuck in her nose!

A Look Back

We took the girls for a very brisk walk this evening, during which time they got a chance to try out their brand new snowsuits. We are so excited for them to wear them during the first snowfall.

We still think of the girls as being so tiny; however, as you can see by a similar picture taken in March, our little girls have grown quite a bit since they wore their bear suits. Their little legs barely reached the end of the seats!

All the Wrong Places

When all is quiet in our house, we always know that Abby is up to something.......

Eating some yummy dirt out of the plant in the family room.

And checking out the wine selection......

Leah often looks very innocent......

chewing on a toy star....instead of dirt

Checking out the neighborhood......not the wine

However, don't let that little innocent smile fool you. She too can often end up in some "wrong places."
