Proud Mommy and Daddy

the last few days have been wonderfully odd. with kids in the NICU, there should be stress, but they're so well taken care of, and kathy has time to get back on her feet - it's really kind of a big sigh of relief. day 1 and 2 allowed for Leah and Abby to meet their new sisters. They absolutely love them. Both have laid claim to "their" baby - so we already know who's going to sleep in the crib on the left and in the crib on the right when we get home; we also know who is getting purple hand-me-downs and pink ones - at least until Madison and Kaitlyn have their own say. Leah is totally enamored with Madison; Abby infatuated with Kaitlyn (I believe she was the first to call her "Katie.") That's not to say that they don't like the "other one," as I am working on converting the most adorable video clip possibly ever recorded (that statement might not be hyperbole when you consider it centers on a cute 4 year old interacting with a cute 5.5lb 2 day old) with Leah singing "Twinkle twinkle little star" to Kaitlyn, then proceeding to say she was singing to "Madison, no Kaitlyn, oh, i just can't tell them apart." (it's really much cuter when it's not their uncute daddy typing it). Both girls also helped in feeding. Abby still hasn't gotten her wish of changing diapers; Leah has so far gotten her wish of not. Our nurse on Saturday night, Dorsina, was kind enough to snap the above picture of mommy, daddy and the (?new, young, little - we're still working on how to classify twins part A and twins part B) girls.
