For the past several years, Ryan and I have wanted to carve pumpkins together at Halloween, but one reason or another, we never got around to it. However, this year, we finally bought some pumpkins "for the girls" and challenged each other to a pumpkin carving contest. We started with the scarecrow and Frankenstein (below), and we had so much fun we thought we would try a more difficult carving.....the haunted houses. We had a blast and look forward to many years of pumpkin carving competitions (especially once our girls can be the judges)!

Ryan and I truly love the many "firsts" that come along with being new parents. Today, we enjoyed the girls' first trip to a pumpkin patch (well...the patch is only open on weekends, so we went to A & M Greenhouse). It was so exciting to see the girls' eyes light-up in wonder as they sat among the many pumpkins. Leah & Abby each picked out their very own pumpkin to take home. Needless to say, our pumpkin carving time was cut short by the fact that we were spending more time picking seeds out of the girls' mouths than actually carving pumpkins. However, we had a wonderful time and look forward to experiencing many more firsts with the girls!

Did we scare you?
After fighting a nasty virus for nearly two weeks, the girls are finally starting to turn the corner. We decided to take in some fresh air yesterday while waiting on the front porch for daddy to come home from work. Aren't they scary in their "Boo" shirts?

Leah and Abby were having such a good time tonight during tub time. We thought they looked too cute with their rock star hair-do's. Unfortunately, Abby has a cold and isn't feeling all that great, but she was still having a blast playing with her sis.

Yesterday Mom took us to her favorite place to shop.....Sam's Club (surprise!). We love the carts there, since they're big enough for both of us to sit up-front! No more infant seats and staring at the ceiling!

Today we had a visit from our friends Dominic and Isaac. This was the first time we have seen Isaac, who is almost 2 months old, and he is so cute! Here are some pics of the kiddos playing together.
