It truly did feel like a scene from "Christmas Vacation," on Saturday, as we all bundled-up in our warmest clothing, piled in the car, sang Christmas carols, and headed out to the wilderness (a.k.a. JB Tree Farm) to pick out the perfect Christmas tree. The biggest difference being that unlike the Griswold kids, we think the girls were pretty excited for this adventure.
We began our adventure in the exact same spot as last year; however, you'll notice that one big thing is missing from this picture this year.....the stroller!
Waiting to board the wagon . . .

Altoona Christmas Parade
Last night, we took the girls to the Altoona Christmas Parade. Just like last year, it was a chilly evening, but we all had a great time!

Light-Up Night in Hollidaysburg
Last Friday, we took the girls to downtown Hollidaysburg for the tree-lighting festivities. It is always such a nice event and the girls had a lot of fun this year enjoying all the great activities.
They both enjoyed feeding and petting the animals....

Happy Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving, we started out the day with an annual tradition, watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. We took this same picture of the girls last year. It's so neat to see how much they have grown in one year (and how much their hair has grown)! The girls enjoyed watching the parade this year, especially seeing all the fun floats, dancers, and bands!

Snow Much Fun!
Today was our first opportunity this winter to take the girls out into the snow. They really seemed to have a lot of fun. Abby just keeps repeating over and over, "Snow is white!" Even though there wasn't too much snow on the ground, it was prefect packing snow, so we managed to build a pretty big snowman. The girls had fun helping us roll the balls of snow and decorating the snowman's face. We decided to make him a "hockey player," equipped with hockey balls for eyes, a puck for a nose, and a hockey stick in hand. What a great time!

Oh Christmas Tree
This year, we decided to buy the girls their own Christmas tree for their bedroom. Together, we decorated it tonight with a variety of ornaments ranging from the nativity scene to Mickey and Minnie Mouse (which were their absolute favorite!). The girls haven't quite gotten the concept yet that once you place the ornaments on the tree, you leave them there! The ornaments went on and came off numerous times, which in the end, resulted in a fallen tree (as you'll see in the picture below).
