Easter 2009

This year, the silly Easter Bunny left a trail of candy from the girls' bedroom to their Easter baskets and goodies. They were both so excited about their new Micky Mouse Memory Game!

Do you think Abby is a little excited about her chocolate??

The Easter Bunny also hid lots of eggs outside for the girls to find. It was such a beautiful day, but very windy.......however, it didn't seem to bother the girls!

After nap time, we headed over to my parent's house. Ryan's mom and dad also joined us for Easter dinner. The girls were very excited to spend time with all of their grandparents. They were especially excited when they discovered that the Easter Bunny hid even more eggs for them to find!

Cololful Easter Eggs!

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to color Easter eggs with the girls. It was so much fun to watch them choose which color they wanted for their eggs and then "carefully" drop them into the appropriate color. You would literally hear the egg falling into the cup with a clunk and cracking as it hit the bottom! They had so much fun and you could see the excitement written all over their faces as they pulled their beautiful masterpieces from the cups of dye.

Leah eventually decided that her hand was the best tool for removing her eggs from the cups!

After coloring their eggs, the girls decorating them with a variety of stickers. As you can tell, Leah plastered her eggs with Mickey and Minnie Mouse stickers. Are you surprised?

Obviously as you can tell by the above pics, the dye definitely didn't stay in the appropriate cups. In fact, we had quite a few spills and as a result, ended up with some beautifully dyed toes!
Say "Cheese!"

Easter Egg Hunt at Canal Basin Park

Last week, MOMS Club had an Easter egg hunt at Canal Basin Park. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the kids had a great time. Leah and Abby were so excited and couldn't wait for the egg hunt to begin.

Hanging out with daddy . . . .

Racing to fill their baskets . . . .

Testing the candy . . . .
After the egg hunt, all the kiddos had fun playing in the play park . . . .

(I really like this pic, b/c you can see daddy and Abby watching Leah from the top of the slide)

Fieldtrip to the Fire Station

Last week, Mom's Club took a field trip to one of the local fire stations. The fire fighters gave the children a tour of the station, as well as let them walk through and sit in the fire trucks. The girls had fun looking at the big trucks. Leah was quite excited to sit in the truck and she kept getting back in line to walk through the truck (the fire fighters caught on after her fourth time through!).

Disney Playhouse Live

Last month, we took the girls to Johnstown to see Disney Playhouse Live. The girls had a blast! They loved it and definitely didn't want it to be over! They still talk about going to see Mickey and Minnie. In fact, they think Mickey is going to be at the circus this coming weekend.

The girls were decked-out in their Minnie Mouse gear. They even wore their cute, little Minnie Mouse ears. Poor Leah woke-up on this day with a double ear infection, but our little trooper sat through the show and enjoyed every minute! (you can tell she isn't feeling too well in this pic).

All By Myself!

The girls are definitely in the "All by myself" stage right now. We love this pic of Leah putting on her jacket all by herself (and upside down!).

Tubbie Time

The other night at tub time, I accidentally added way too many bubbles to the water. The girls thought it was great! They looked so cute in the tub.....the only thing you could see were their little heads poking through the bubbles!
